Lauren & Lynette Come Visit

I'm blogging this late, but Casey's sister, Lauren, came to Utah from California for a short visit back in August. We had so much fun playing and cousin Lynette came up one night from Orem to stay with us as well. We had a great girl's night out and then the following day Lauren and Lynette took the kids to the zoo while Casey and I got some much needed work done around the house.

Getting ready for some girl time. It was so fun to go out and play without the kids. Casey was great for taking over so I could have some girl time.

We went to dinner and then saw "Monster's U", which was honestly laugh out loud hilarious.

Girl time just wouldn't be complete without a little Ben & Jerry's and face masks.And yes, in case you were wondering, in spite of vinegar water and bleach, our blinds are truly that disgusting. Also, that puke green/yellow really is the color of the walls in the master bedroom right now. After painting all the rest of the house, Casey made me promise to wait until next summer to paint the bedrooms and bathrooms. So while we still live with nasty paint upstairs, at least I feel good about the parts of the house that are most visible to our guests downstairs!

Apparently Emmett was much braver on the merry-go-round. He has a history of screaming hysterically but made it through this time without any tears!

Bethany was content to hang out in her stroller as Emmett ran like a madman through crowds, cutting people off and then slowing down and tripping strangers. Sometimes, it would be nice if Emmett would just sit nicely in stroller too!

You can always judge how much fun our kids have had by the quality of their sleep. In this case, both kids were thoroughly exhausted!

We're so glad that we got to have so much fun with Lauren and Lynette and hope that they come back again soon!
