If Emmett catches Darwin coming into his room, he will always chase him out and close the door. He says Darwin is too stinky to be allowed on the big boy bed. But if Emmett is already asleep, Darwin will sneak in and curl up with him anyway. If Emmett wakes up and sees the cat there, he's happy to snuggle and cuddle with him. It just seems to be when he's going to sleep and not waking up that Darwin is too stinky. Otherwise he doesn't mind the extra kitty love.
Emmett really likes hats and frequently insists on wearing one or both when he goes to bed at night.
Maybe this is a mean picture to post, but I love it so much! I took a photo at just the wrong moment and caught a perfect image of Emmett's "Duane's syndrome" at work. His left eye can't turn to the left, so when he looks that direction his right eye turns inward and his left eye stays straight. We don't always notice it, but it does occasionally make me giggle. :)

She also loves turning pages and looking at pictures in books. She'll scream the minute we say, "the end" because she doesn't want us to close the book.
We are terrible parents.

Emmett requires that Bethany sit in the bathroom doorway and clap for him while he goes to the bathroom. I don't think it's going to work as well now that she can crawl away when she's bored.

If Bethany sees a stream or any kind of moving water, she purses her lips and says, "Ooooooo..." until she can no longer see it. She loves anything to do with water!
