"Wanna go outside? OKAY!"

Staying with Bev and Vonnie during my pregnancy and recovery has been such a blessing to our family for so many reasons, but for Emmett one of the best perks is all the room to run and play outside! Here is a photo collection of some of the fun things Emmett has been doing this summer.

Washing the Car

Emmett is always a very eager little helper.

Playing at the Water Table
Grandma Gasser gave Emmett the coolest birthday present ever-- a water table! Watching Emmett play is so fun that  sometimes even Mom would come outside to watch.

One of the funniest things to see is Emmett trying to throw water in his own face. He thought it was hilarious but would grimace in anticipation each time. Half the time he'd miss and would just keep trying over again.

The water table has been a big hit not just with Emmett, but with the cousins as well. Emmett and AnnMarie  had a blast the other day after Coleman taught them how to use straws to blow bubbles in the water.

Swimming
Emmett loves swimming in the pool we got him for his birthday. He especially loves playing with the water wheel. He honestly sat and did nothing but pour water through it for an hour and a half the first time we ever showed it to him. I had no idea that anything could hold a two-year-old's attention for so long!

Sam and Anna's kids were able to come and join in the fun one afternoon as well!  The pool was a pretty big hit at Bev's house too, but sadly didn't survive two weeks without popping. Oh well!

Emmett also enjoyed taking his water wheel out of the pool and watering the  flowers and tomato plants at Vonnie's house.

Picnics
We had a hot dog roast with the Omans one night and it was so much fun!

Emmett is a pro when it comes to begging food off of other people's plates. "You want some? Okay!"

Chewy is Emmett's favorite dog and he knows that Chewy and Becky are always together. Even though we haven't seen him for a while now, Emmett always asks, "Where's Chewy dog?" "Where's Becky?" 

Jumping on the trampoline is a little scary, but Emmett is learning to enjoy it and have fun as long as no one is bouncing too hard next to him.
