Emmett Quotes

After Emmett's bedtime routine last night Casey carried him over to me for some bedtime kisses.
Emmett: "Mama kisses? Brush your teeth!"

Tonight as we were eating, Casey told a joke. As we all chuckled over the joke, Emmett looked up from his meal and said, "Oh my gosh, Dada."

Casey went into Emmett's room to get him up in the morning. Emmett looked up and said, "Dada is so cute."

Anytime we mention the baby that is coming, Emmett will very seriously remind us, "Sisters are nice, scissors are scary."

"Emmett is a FAST boy!" as he charges from one end of the house to the other.

When he starts to throw a tantrum, we ask him if he needs a time out or if he will be a happy boy. He usually looks up, smiles, and says, "Emmett happy boy!"

If he bonks his head or hurts himself somehow, he goes running to the nearest person crying, "Owie! Kisses!"

When he sees someone and wants their attention he shouts, "Hi Emmett!" over and over until they finally say hello.

Emmett has a toy lawnmower that he pushes around the house. It is one of his favorite toys. Occasionally he will gently lay the lawnmower down on the ground and exclaim. "Uh oh! Lawnmower fell down. Poor lawnmower."

Anytime he tries to move something heavy he grunts, "Strong boy!"

Emmett loves ordering people to draw him pictures. He will wear everyone out carrying around his doodle pad or a pen and paper and asking people to "Draw baby butterfly? Draw tractor? Draw Uncle Roland? Draw Libby? etc"

If he messes his diaper he will pull at it uncomfortably and exclaim, "Stinky poo-poo"

When I'm sick and the door is closed you can hear him say, "Mamaleeping." And when the door opens he exlaims, "Mama awake!"
