The BIG Announcement

Casey and I had our ultrasound today. We know what we're having. But before I tell you, I'm going to draw out the suspense with a few pictures for your viewing enjoyment:

While waiting for the doctor to come in and examine the heart more carefully (the baby was in kind of an awkward position for a clear photo), the lab technician gave us a 3D ultrasound picture just for fun! The face is kind of squished and I guess their face was pressed close to the front of the uterus and they had their little hand kind of in the way as well. But it's still pretty cool to see!



And now.... are you ready?? Well, the baby was quite shy at first and had their legs tucked up very tightly so that we couldn't see very well. Finally, after much persuasion (ie. nudging and shaking with the ultrasound probe), the baby unfolded just enough to reveal proof of being.... A BOY!! When the second doctor came in to have a look, our little guy was much less timid and opened up more freely, removing all doubt.

Casey was smiling, I was crying, and we are very, VERY happy.
