Mother's Day 2014

I had a wonderful Mother's Day this year. Casey and the kids got me The Maze Runner (even more exciting because in June I'll get to meet James Dashner and plan on getting his autograph), new slippers (Emmett has been praying on behalf of my stinky old slippers, that I'll get new ones), and some beautiful flowers.

Emmett's preschool also had a Mother's Day brunch with muffins and juice. The kids took turns going to the front of the room with their moms and presenting them with a special necklace made of yarn, pieces of straw, and fake flowers, and then the preschool teachers read off the answers to some cute questionnaires.

Emmett cried when I started to put on the necklace, so he got to wear it instead. I think it looks smashing on him, so that's fine with me. What I loved most were his answers to the questions his teachers asked. Here they are... hope you can read them:

Proof that Emmett knows how to do more than just scribble! I love the picture he drew of me and him. And I love his adorable answers!

I'd like to point out that the only box unchecked is "Wise". Apparently, I need to work on that one!
I love being a mother. And I know that there are a lot of things that I could do better, but for me, this day is about celebrating the fact that I was blessed with the two sweetest, most beautiful, amazing, and wonderful babies anyone could ask for. I adore my little monkeys. I am so grateful and blessed to have them in my life.
