Heritage Park

Our friends, Rick and April Galati, invited us and the Paulsens to go to a work sponsored party at Heritage Park. It was so much fun! We all had a great time. It's wonderful to have well-connected friends who can get us into fun events for free! :)

I had no idea that there are so many fun things to do and see at Heritage Park. The kids LOVED the petting zoo!

There was a sign outside the petting zoo that said, "Strollers are welcome, but be warned: Our goats love to explore" This should have been translated as, "Our goats will eat your strollers". I had to pull seat belt straps out of various goat's mouths several times.

Another goat trying to eat the wheels on our stroller.

Emmett especially loved petting the sheep. He'd pet them and say, "Oh! He's so nice! He says, 'Hi, Emmett-boy!'"

Trevor and Caryn's little girl, Aria, is a few months older than Bethany and she also loved the animals!

Emmett liked petting the Emus as well, but he was a little nervous around them since they aren't an animal he is very familiar with.

Resting from the heat. It was only 101 degrees.

Showing a little bit of attitude...

Emmett was in little boy heaven when we got to ride the train around the park, not once, but twice!

On the train. Ricky is balding guy wearing sunglasses, Trevor is making the face, and then of course the computer nerd with the glasses and children is my love. :)

Bethany didn't care much about being on a train but was happy just to sit in her daddy's lap for a while. She sure is crazy about her dad!

Trying to get Emmett to hold still for a picture inside of Brigham Young's house.

And a cute picture of Trevor and Caryn's little Aria making friends with April and Ricky on the train ride back to the park entrance. She is such a cutie! Her hair cracks me up. She reminds me of a little Nancy Drew from the 60s. :)
