Over the last week or so, our child has learned to:
1. Make kissy noises on cue
2. Say "bye-bye" (ba-ba) when waving
3. Say "Yeah" and "No"
4. Do a REAL crawl over short distances-- he still opts for the tummy scoot for long distances
5. Sing: "La-La"
6. Give "Five" when you hold your hand out and ask him to "gimme five" (though it's more like 15-20 since he likes the praise when he hits your hand over and over)
7. Say "Pa-Pa"
8. Make a funny tongue wiggling face
9. Shakes his head "no" and his whole body "yes"
10. Booty dances to music
11. Dumpster dives in the kitchen trash can
12. Fearlessly flings himself head first off of beds, couches, and any elevated surface he can pull himself onto. This one scares me just a little bit...
I can't believe Emmett will be eleven months next week, and even though he's probably doing things that every eleven month old is doing, we're convinced that he's absolutely brilliant. Why else would he have such a gigantic noggin'?

We'll have to get together again soon. It sounds like he's grown a lot since last time, even though it's only been a week and a half! (There is also a possibility that Emmett was too busy fearing for his life to perform tricks. My sweet little Grant has had that effect on more than one child during playdates . . .)
