Trip to Seattle

This week was my spring vacation and so Emmett and I got on an airplane last Saturday and flew to Seattle to see Grandma, Grandpa, Krista, Kenzie, Brandon, and even Josh who was also in town for a job interview! Casey wanted to come, but since he has recently been promoted at work we thought it was bad timing for him to ask for a week off. We had a WONDERFUL time and especially enjoyed getting to know Kenzie and Brandon since I hadn't seen Kenzie since she was a little baby and hadn't yet met Brandon. We took a bunch of pictures with our camera but also caught a lot of cute moments on Grandpa and Grandma's camera, so I hope they are able to send it along to us. Emmett loved having such a big house to crawl around and explore!

Looking out the window was very exciting.

Playing with cousin Brandon was lots of fun too, except that sometimes Emmett made him cry. He must not have appreciated someone stealing his toys, shouting in his face, and clawing at him. Go figure.

We were so glad that Josh was there too! Congrats on the new job and good luck! :)

Emmett didn't mind so much that he couldn't dye Easter eggs with everyone else just as long as he had Grandma all to himself.

For some reason Kenzie wanted an egg with a frowny face on it. Don't worry, she really did have fun.

Emmett got to play with several different animals, including a couple of dogs. In fact, the poor animals could not escape.

While Mom and Krista were at work, Josh and I took Emmett and Kenzie to the park. We had such a good time! Emmett was a little concerned, however, when Kenzie insisted on pushing him in the swing. She was very gentle and did a very good job.

Emmett also enjoyed playing in the meadow and smelling/eating the dandelions.

A very friendly cat also came over to the park to play with us and say hello. Emmett loves kitties too!

Eating wood chips was also fun, until Emmett tipped over and bonked his face.

It was a very busy day and at the end of our trip to the park, Emmett was one tired little boy! We went straight back to the house and took a nice long nap!

I wish I had a few more pictures to post, but we'll have to get the rest from Grandma and Grandpa. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to see everyone again! And although we missed Casey a LOT, it felt like our trip was much too short.
