A Night Out

So Casey and I are trying to take advantage of our last few months as a couple with no little kids to worry about. Two years ago on Easter Sunday, Casey proposed to me by the Provo River. I figured it was a good excuse to go on a nice date together. I bought some dollar movie tickets and made plans to eat out, then told Casey that we were going to my mission reunion. I really did have a reunion Friday night, but I know that Casey doesn't always enjoy going to them since he doesn't really know anyone and he'd be tired from work. I also know that because Casey loves me he'll go along with just about anything.

So Casey ended work a little early and rushed home to get ready for my reunion. He wore his best suit and jacket and acted all happy to go with me to see all my friends. I told him I looked up the address and that it was really close by so we could just take my car and I'd drive. Then I took him straight to one of our favorite restaurants, Red Lobster. He was really confused at first and kept asking me if we were picking someone up here, and then he looked at me and said, "Wait a minute! Are you being all cute and romantic with me?!"

So we had an incredibly delicious meal, went to see Sherlock Holmes at the dollar theater, and then topped the evening off with a concrete vanilla-bumbleberry custard from Nielsen's. It was a great night!

And for my wonderful mission buddies that still might check this blog, sorry we missed the reunion, but we can still do lunch sometime. :)

Good call. Mission reunions are not so exciting when it isn't yours. Lucky for Curtis my president stopped having them. Lucky for me we live in Korea and can't get to his! Ha ha.

But back to you guys . . . I'm glad you had such a fun evening out!

Enjoy the last few months as a family of two! Hopefully, you'll find someone to swap babysitting favors with so you can still go out for dates without having to pay for a babysitter on top of the date expenses.

p.s. I love the baby's name!
