Playing Catch-Up

So I should have posted all these pictures a LONG time ago! Better late than never though...

Here are a few pictures from Emmett's first time playing in the snow back in late November. Emmett's snow suit is MUCH too big on him. Even now, size 18 month clothes tend to drown the poor child. His snow suit looks so silly on him (especially when seen without the coat and only as the bottom half) that I literally fell on the floor laughing the first time I saw him waddling around in it! He did pretty well with the snow, and only after falling down in the snow and not being able to get back up several times did he start to cry.

Casey turned 31 on December 18th, and just to make sure he felt his age, Emmett and I decided to have him blow out all 31 candles-- none of this cheating business and just using those number candles. Not yet anyway. Emmett LOVED the burning candles and after Casey blew them out, Emmett continued to blow all over our cake for quite some time. It was kind of gross. We assume that when June comes around Emmett will have no trouble figuring out what to do with the candles on his own cake. :)

Christmas was a lot of fun! Emmett loved playing around the Christmas tree and breaking ornaments. Fortunately we only lost a couple to his mischief. We also took a plane ride to Seattle and stayed with my family for a few days. It was so wonderful to see everyone and be back in the house I grew up in! We even got to see Curtis and his girls again after what seemed like a very long two years in Korea. As fun as it was, I'm afraid I was a lousy photographer and only nabbed a couple of pictures.

Now that Christmas is over (a long time ago...) Emmett and I have been hanging out together trying to find fun things to do at home. Aside from tormenting the cat, we enjoy playing in pillows, climbing into the bathroom sink (not endorsed by mommy), playing with our cousin Hunter, reading books, and dancing.
