Our Big Guy

Emmett went to get his second flu shot on Friday and we weighed him: 18lbs!! Our little boy is getting so big! He sits up on his own, rolls over and over and over all around the floor, expresses frustration with high pitched "girly" squeals that make his face go red, and scoots all over the floor doing a "silk worm" crawl. He plants his face into the ground, sticks his bum way up in the air, and then pushes with his toes so his face pushes along the carpet and gets a bit of rug burn. He will grab everything in his reach and is so curious about the world around him and determined to explore. Emmett's vocabulary has expanded from "Da Da Da" to include "Ba Ba Ba" and "Pbttt" (he thinks it's very funny to spit). Favorite games include peek-a-boo and chasing Mommy and Daddy across their big bed. Emmett's favorite food is butternut squash, and his least favorite is avacado-- when we give it to him his whole body shudders and cringes.
