Thanksgiving Break

So this year for Thanksgiving Casey, Emmett and I took the train to Reno to get together with Casey's whole family at his parent's house. It was a little crowded, but so much fun to have everyone together! Taking the train was a great way to get there and back, but it still wasn't easy to travel with an infant. Emmett did pretty well on the way there in spite of nearly a four hour delay. The way back, however, was a different story. The poor kid only slept for a little while and screamed most of the trip. Fortunately, there was a small secluded room downstairs on the train that we took him to so he could scream without disturbing others. We ate dinner on the train and think it gave us food poisoning. I threw up a couple of hours before we got into Salt Lake and then Casey and I have both spent the entire day sick today. So the trip there was okay... the trip back... mmmm... not so much. We're still incredibly glad that we went. Here's a few pictures.

Me and Emmett starting the train ride home. We were much happier at this point of the trip than at the end of it...

Casey played Wii with his two nephews, Gavin (4) and Miles (2).

Gavin loved holding Emmett and made certain that everyone knew that Emmett "wants to be big someday" like he is and that he and Emmett are best friends. It was pretty cute.

Wow! You took the bus the whole way?! Looks like it was a trip (at least while you were in Reno).
