Pioneer Day

We had a great Pioneer Day. We started off by going swimming together as a family. Surprisingly, the pool was completely abandoned and so we had the place to ourselves. Emmett couldn't get in the water with us (he's too little still), but he was a great life guard.

Right as we were getting ready to leave, the sprinklers came on. It's a good thing Emmett's stroller has a cover that can go all the way over, or he might have gotten soaked after all!

Emmett's stroller is his favorite thing in the whole world. He always loves field trips outside, and although he's very interested in everything happening around him, he usually loses the battle to stay awake.

Casey and I had gotten crab legs the night before to celebrate the big raise he got at work. We added to it with a couple of steaks, corn on the cob, watermelon, cauliflower and homemade Red Lobster style biscuits.

It looked like a lot of food, but believe me, it disappeared fast!

And here's another cute photo of Emmett to finish off the post... Happy Pioneer Day!
